12/6/1955 – 5/30/2024

Belinda finished her short battle with cancer on May 30, 2024.  She is survived by her mother Dorothy Rutledge, sister Kathy Richardson(Danny), her husband Steven, her son Joshua Brewer(Michelle), her bonus daughters Amanda Meyers(Pat) and Stephanie Burton(Lennie), and grandchildren Remi and Walker Burton. She is preceded in death by her father Gerald Rutledge and her brothers Robert and Charles.

Belinda loved her flower gardens, cooking, travel, and adventures with her husband, Steven. But more than those, she loved to fish. When she’d catch one, she woud get an ear to ear grin that was pure joy to see. Her largest was a 10 pound catfish from Browns Creek Lake on the Natchez Trace State Park. Other than fishing, some of her favorite destinations were to LBL, Shiloh, and just getting out for long drives with no destination in mind, and then off in the direction of a sign for something that looked interesting. She lived life to the fullest that she could, though some health issues in recent years slowed her down a little, they never stopped her.

She was also always proud of her son Josh, and all that he has accomplished. And when she and Steve married, she gained the bonus daughters, Stephanie and Amanda.  As the kids got older and married, Remi and Walker were born to Stephanie and Lennie, and they were the apple of their Mimi’s eyes, and there was nothing that was going to stop her from spoiling the grandchildren, because that was her job.  And she was one of the best at it too.

She was dearly loved by her family, and will be greatly missed.

The family requests that donations be made to St. Judes in leiu of flowers, as that was a cause that was dear to her heart.  Visitation for the family will be held at East Union Baptist Church(2244 Beech Bluff Rd, Jackson, TN) from 12-2 with service to follow.
