Darrell Wood

Darrell Wood passed away October 9th, 2024, in Huron, TN at the age of 72. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1971. He retired after many years of working on the river as a mechanic on a barge. He enjoyed working on a multitude of projects at his home and helping out other people with theirs. He also loved fishing and his farm. He enjoyed visiting the mountains and going on “spur of the moment” road trips. He was a fan of antiquing and Elvis Presley. He was preceded by his parents Olen B. Wood and Lou Annie Roberts Wood and his siblings Anna Marie Wood, Shirley Wood, Virginia Alexander, Dorthy Byers, Alma Forrester, Peggy Tart, Lanoice Wood, Roby Wood, Harold Wood, Jerry Wood, Larry Wood, and Willie B. Wood. He is survived by his life partner Kathy Vinardi, his daughter Felecia Wood Garnica, his siblings Pat Dennison and James Wood, his grandchildren Skylar Acosta, Samual Malone, and Kristi Malone, his great grandchildren Rosaline Acosta and Joseph Darrell Acosta, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

His Celebration of Life will be held at his home November 2nd, 2024, at 1:00pm.
