Elfain Carver passed away on March 31st, 2025 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents Ester Lee Priddy Carver and Virgil Harris Carver, his brothers Paul Carver, Luke Carver, Virgil Carver Jr., and Connie Bee Carver, as well as his sisters Eddie Lee McClerkin. Sudie Mae Beal, and Sarah Lucille Taylor. He is survived by his sisters Arnell Campbell and Katheine Carver, his daughter Susan A. Ratliff (Eric), his granddaughter Deuna B Ratliff, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Mr. Carver was a proud Army Veteran who served active duty from September 10th, 1953 to September 10th, 1955 before transferring into the Army Reserve. He was a Specialist 3rd Class and a Field Artillery Crewman. During his service, he received a National Defense Service Medal as well as a Good Conduct Medal. He also worked for the New York Transit City Authority in Brooklyn, New York. 

A memorial service for Mr. Carver will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation Friday April 11th, 2025, from 10am-12pm with his burial to follow at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
