Issac Thomas Whitwell passed away on Nov 26th, 2023, in Jackson TN at the of 96. He was 2 weeks away from 97. He was preceded by his parents Felix and Essie May Whitwell, his brother Paul Black Whitwell (1929-1930), his sisters Loudean Jones and Ivadean Hickerson. He is survived by his wife of 76 years and the love of his life Helen Charlene Whitwell, his son Tommy Whitwell, daughter Charlotte Kizer (Kenneth), brother-in-law Bob Parker, and his sister-in-law Peggy Parker, along with several nieces and nephews and special friends Glenn McDaniel and Tammy Hollingsworth. He was a lifetime member of the united methodist and currently a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He loved to fish, mowing his yard and gardening. He had many hobbies. He was very active at age 95, loved gospel music and loved watching westerns and wrestling. He was a good Christian man, a loving husband, and father. He was loved by all.

His visitation will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation Wednesday November 29th, 2023, from 4pm-8pm. His visitation will recommence Thursday November 30th, 2023, from 11am-2pm with his service to follow at 2pm. He will be laid to rest at Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request to donate to the Veterans VFW, to United Methodist foodbank, or the charity of your choice.
