Jessie Neal Cook

Jessie Neal Cook, 85, passed away peacefully at home on August 8th 2025. He was a faithful Deacon at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for 38 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Linda James Cook, his parents, Henry and Katherine Cook and his brother Henry Cook, Jr. 

Jessie Neal Cook was a proud U.S. Army veteran. Neal worked at Milan Army Ammunition Plant for 48 yrs. During those 48 years, he worked on the ammunition lines, in the guard department, maintenance department and MAAP Fire Department. He was a licensed EMT, co-owner of Cook’s Grocery and a farmer. He was a devoted husband and father. Neal’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his lil darlings.  

He is survived by his daughter Regina Kelly (Bill Jr.), his brother Danny Cook (Martha), his grandchildren Ashley Wood (Jacob), Sean Kelly (Aubriana) and his great-grandchildren Tristan Wood, Elizabeth Wood, and Barrett Kelly.

A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Jessie Neal Cook will be held Sunday October 5th, 2025 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (5751 Hwy 104 N Cedar Grove, TN 38321) beginning at 2pm.
