Noel Edward Johnson

Noel Edward Johnson, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on November 26, 2025. Born February 24, 1940, in Fort Pierce, FL, Noel spent most of his life in the Columbia, TN, area before retiring to Lexington, TN.

Noel enjoyed many things in his life including building and flying model airplanes, listening to pipe organ music, and traveling in his RV with his wife, Betty. He enjoyed volunteer work for many National and State parks and was an avid reader and photographer. Above all, he was always learning and loved talking with anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Kathryn Johnson, daughters Kathryn Noeleen (Ronnie, deceased) Gibson of Spring Hill, TN, Karyn Kristeen (Harry) Marshall of Lexington, and Karyl Lynne (Guy) Tirk of King George, VA. Also survived by his brother, Robert Stanley Johnson, brother-in-law Robert N. (Virginia) Johnson, nephews Arthur Jay Kilgore, The Reverend Murray Paul (Becky) Gordon, Robert S. Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Greg Johnson and niece Terri (Barry) Cox.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents Lyndell and Mary Francess Johnson, sister Lynda Johnson Gordon, and son-in-law Ronnie Gibson.
