Carolyn Sue Zapf

Carolyn Sue Zapf passed away May 16th, 2024 in Beech Bluff, TN at the age of 72. She was preceded by her parents Rita Jean Barr and A.J. May, her brother John W. May, her sister Pamela Lynn May, and her nephew Jonathan May. She is survived by her brothers Bob Barr and Anderw May, her sisters Liz Adcox, Lori May Pierce, and Martha May, her sons Bobby Zapf (Lauren) and Douglas Zapf (Shay), and her grandchildren Kellan, Lucy, and Haiden. Carolyn was a retired nurse, devoted caregiver to Mary Ruth, Katie, Christopher, and Jonathan Nelson. She loved animals and helping with dog rescue for many years. She also enjoyed reading and artwork. She lived with her longtime roommate Nancy Nelson, where they helped take care of numerous special needs children. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
