Donald Ray Brown Sr., 72, of Scotts Hill, TN, was welcomed into Heaven on May 10th, 2026. He passed away peacefully at is home, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born May 6th, 1954 in Selmer, Tennessee, to the late Roy and Georgia Lee Brown. He was a former employee of Young Touchstone in Lexington, TN.

Donald had a deep love for writing and enjoyed anything related to science and politics. He believed and loved God. He was a former Henderson County resident and raised his family in Lexington before choosing to spend the last four years of his life in Scotts Hill, where he found peace sitting on his front porch, often watching the deer in his yard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carlos Burkhead and Larry Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Sue “Susie” Brown of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; two sons, Don (Carly) Brown of Muncie, Indiana, and Clinton (Brandon) Brown of Scotts Hill, Tennessee; four grandchildren Sophie, Kieran, Lucas, and Liam all of Muncie, Indiana; and one god-grandchild, Richard of Cedar Grove, Tennessee. He is also survived by four brothers, James (Donna) Brown, Chester (Teresa) Brown, Lester (Peggy) Brown, and Clyde (Daphne) Brown, all of Lexington, Tennessee; and two sisters Peggy Dickson of Huron, Tennessee, and Alice (Joe) Trass of Schaumburg, Illinois. Donald also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

In honoring Donald’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation with no formal services.
