Janice Hansel

Janice M. Hansel passed away on July 21st, 2025 in Lexington, TN at the age of 69. She was preceded by her parents Peter Sr. and Mildred Rogers, her brother Peter Rogers Jr, her son Mickey Hansel, and her in-laws Carl and Dorthey Hansel. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Joe Hansel Sr, her brother Richard (Janet) Rogers of Lexington, TN, her sisters Etta (Mike) Morgan of Illinois, Katie Weaver of Darden, TN, and Krissy (Randy) Spann of Illinois, her children Joe “Smokey” Hansel Jr. of Darden, TN, Jason (Stephanie) Hansel of Lexington, TN, and Jacob (Megan) Hansel of Huron, TN, her grandchildren Carl (Sydney) Hansel, Samantha (Patrick) Hansel, Hannah Phelps, Elizabeth Hansel, Steven Hansel, Bryleigh Hansel, and Emily Hansel, her sister-in-law Faye Rogers of Illinois, and her daughter-in-law Meredith Hansel of Florida, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a LPN for 38 years. She retired from Westwood Nursing Home in Decaturville, TN after 27 years. The family appreciates Henderson County Hospital in Lexington, TN. The doctors and nurses did a wonderful job taking care of her and the family. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to her services. Donations can be made by calling Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation or stopping by the facility.

Her visitation will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home & Cremation Thursday July 24, 2025 from 12pm-8pm. Her visitation will recommence Friday July 25, 2025 from 8am-10am with her service to follow at 10am.
