Linda Carol (James) Cook, 83, passed away peacefully on May 13th, surrounded by her loving family.  She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.  Linda dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 62 yrs. and their daughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Tennie James, her sister Evelyn Levis and her brother Wayne James.  

Linda retired from Florida Steel after 16 years of service to take care of her 2 grandchildren. They were the apple of her eye. She was a licensed cosmetologist and co-owner of Cook’s Grocery. Linda’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family.   

She is survived by her husband Jessie Neal, daughter Regina Kelly (Bill Jr.), her sister Brenda Gideon, her grandchildren Ashley Wood (Jacob), Sean Kelly (Aubriana) and her great-grandchildren Tristan Wood, Elizabeth Wood and Barrett Kelly. 

A memorial celebrating Linda’s life will be held at a later date.
