Harold Richard Wright

Harold Richard Wright passed away on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, peacefully at home with his kids at his side at the age of 81. He was preceded by his parents Doss H. and Mattie Wright, his wife Alice Faye Wright, his brothers Irby Wright and Tom Wright, his daughters Tina Marie Wright and Sherry Ann Wright, and his grandson James Shannon Gunn. He is survived by his brother-in-law Roger (Karen) Pickard, his sisters Bernice Rhodes Margie Tucker and Montie Arrington, his sister-in-law Cathy Pickard, his children Deborah (Greg) Hopper, James Dennis, John T. Dennis, and Richard (Amanda) Wright Jr., along with 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and his 10yr old shih-tzu, Floyd, which was his “ride or die” BFF. Mr. Wright spent half of his adult life as a brakeman for IC&G Railroad and the other half as an owner-operator truck driver. He loved his family deeply, was a jokester, and truly enjoyed life.

His visitation will be held at the First Pentecostal Church in Lexington TN Friday, July 21st 2023 from 5pm – 7pm and Saturday July 22nd 2023 from 11am – 1pm with his memorial service to follow at 1pm.
